I had a neighbor stop by today and drop off a Christmas card with a nice note and a check for the charity. That made my day! Not only was it a nice message from one of our new neighbors here, but also a nice gesture to Kansas City Rescue Mission. Very cool.
Even before the card, we had already collected more than we did in the entire 2010 season (which was pretty dismal, hence the lack of display charity last year). Pretty dang cool. I anticipate it picking up even more as we close in on Christmas and the traffic increases.
