Some More Sightseeing

We took the family out tonight to see a few more lights before the season is wrapped up.  First stop, Christmas in the Park out at Longview.  I could include about 50 different pictures from there.  Mostly wireframes, nothing terribly technical, but still fun for the kids.  We then went to see Chris Simmons’ display in Lees Summit.  His display is almost completely pixels, and he makes good use of them.  The last stop was Chris Bell’s house, also in Lees Summit.  This is Chris’s first year, but he has a nice display, and the kids loved the talking (and singing) trees.

If you haven’t had a chance to come by and see our lights yet, you are running out of time.  I plan to run them through the 6th, but if traffic isn’t any heavier then it has been the last couple nights, we may consider pulling the proverbial plug a couple days early.

Actually, that was the initial plan, but what materials to use, then storage, etc. Maybe next year. I may have some impetus to really crank it up a notch. We'll see. Thanks for the comments, Tim :)

Bruce, really enjoyed seeing your 2013 display last night. Love Calvin and Hobbes. Next year you should actually have snowmen that look like the pictures displayed. New spiral tree is excellent, and the use of the snowflakes on songs like Christmas Eve Sarajevo was well executed. Glad you continue to include your giant candy cane, which we've enjoyed since you displayed it at your old house. Keep up the good work.
